Let's Start at the Very Middle
How are you?
I wanted to ask because I have no idea what you are doing here, where you are, or when you are. This is a place I am creating for introspection, discussion, and to collect the gold nuggets from my information sifting.
I cannot tell you how many blogs, journals, sketch books, and general projects that I start and never finish! Some have been lost to the ether and some I have lugged around for years. I cannot claim this is the start not only because of that, but also because I didn't start learning about this and writing it down just in this moment. That would be a sad tragedy considering I am 23 years old, although, not impossible. Regardless, welcome to this. I don't think I have a lot of definition for it just yet but maybe in time I will. Maybe I will never write another post again. Or maybe I won't past this week, this month, or even this year. ...which is very like me.
Honestly at this point this is going to be my discovery dump. The idea of having a place to discuss these ideas with others is also very appealing although I often discuss them with whomever is within earshot whether they want to talk about it or not. What's also hilarious is that I have started blogs before with the same intention, but a slightly different idea, and I have no idea if it's the writing that gets it out of my system but it seems to help calm the itch.
But then there's the matter of trying to find something from ages ago that's been lost in the giant dirty laundry pile of my digital scribbles. That infuriates me to no end. Thank goodness for improved search engines that can help me prove that my friends right when I think I got a childhood game from a reputable establishment and they can correct me and show me that it came from a cereal box. I love having a chance to change my perspective or frame of mind. It not only keeps life interesting but I think it improves it so much more.
On that note, I'm scared to start the categorization. I love giving my random findings a home to live in and a group to be a part of. I swear I don't want them to get lonely but the truth is I love labeling these little digital pieces of information. That being said, are we surprised that I'm a sucker for black and white truths with an easy explanation and a clear answer? There are middle ground, grey zone, and none of the above parts to our existence and it is not something that comes naturally to me. That being said when I gather and sort and analyze new information that can deepen my understand about why it is that way, whatever it is, I am so much more confident in existence.
